7-man Macylance FC on Saturday demolished Eyioha United 4-1 in their second game of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Likeminds FC In-house tournament (Prince &Olumide Cup).

The victory moved Macylance FC to the second place on the log, as D’Execitive maintained their unbeaten run in the two week-old tournament beating D’Honourables 1-0 in today (Saturday’s) encounter.

However, Macylance FC owner, Joseph Ekwere popularly known as Ekwereplace says, he knew his men were going to make him proud despite his absent and that of some key players in the team.

He noted that, the players were highly motivated ahead of the game, therefore, there couldn’t have been a contrary result from what it is now.

According to Ekwereplace, there is no doubt Macylance FC are going to emerge victorious at the end of the tournament , saying that their next game against the D’Execitive shall go the same way it happened to Eyioha United today (Saturday).

In his words, “I told you earlier, we are going to bounce back after our surprise defeat to D’Honourables which off course was as a result of playing a 4-man down to our opponents.

“You will agree with me that my team will go all the way to win the tournament. If we can play 7-man (2-man down) against Eyioha United and record this result even with the likes of Onwa, Obidyke, Markay and Ekwereplace (myself) been absent from the squad, so what will happen in our next game where almost all the players will be available for selection?

“We’ll surely decimate  D’Executive in our next match and top the group table. I know they are currently with six points in two games, but we are going to match the 6 points and top them on goal differences,” Ekwere boasted.

In the second game played on Saturday, D’Execitive piped D’Honourables 1-0 to move top of the log, while D’Honourables dropped to third place.

Meanwhile, Macylance FC will square up against D’Execitive in their last group game, while the bottom, Eyioha United will face  D’Honourables.
Though, the owner of Eyioha United, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke has threaten to drag the organizers of the tournament to FIFA for the outrageous result which he said did not depict his team’s performance of the encounter.
