The Police in Anambra State have arrested five persons suspected to be thugs, allegedly mobilized to disrupt election in the state.
The Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the men were arrested in Ihiala, and four pump action guns recovered from them.
Ikenga said: “Five armed thugs were arrested in Ihiala and four pump actions recovered.
CP Aderemi Adeoye who is heading the command’s personnel on election duty was also quoted to have said that thuggery will not be allowed during the election.
