Coach Salisu Yusuf

Following the explosive video published online by the BBC in July 2018 which was a product of an investigation done by Tiger Eye PI, a Ghana-based private investigation agency led by a multiple award-winning undercover reporter, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, where the embattled Super Eagles Chief Coach, Salisu Yusuf was shown receiving $1000 as part of a discussion geared towards his including two players for the African Nations Championship, Corereporters can authoritatively report that a Nigerian born Super Eagles’ coach whose name is withheld for obvious reasons is fingered as the harbinger of the sting operation.
An impeccable source revealed that the informant coach who has dual parental citizenship of ECOWAS extraction allegedly supplied the necessary ingredients that nailed Yusuf.
It will be recalled that at first, Yusuf denied any wrongdoing. He claimed that he had received $750 as a gift and not as a bribe.
He noted that the players in question were already regulars in his team and that only unforeseen circumstances could prevent them from making his CHAN squad, though, he still accepted the money anyway, after he was promised 15 percent of the fee from a prospective transfer of these players.
Meanwhile, the embattled coach has served his one-year punishment meted on him by his employer, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and was brought back to the team for reasons best known to the big wigs of the NFF against the demand of the majority of the stakeholders that he (Salisu) should give way for a another.
