The players and officials of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, a Makurdi base Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, are currently undergoing COVID-19 test at the Benue State University hospital, Makurdi.
The Vice-chairman of the club, Mike Idoko is leading both the management staff, the players and the technical crew to the COVID-19 test ahead of their training resumption.
Corereporters report that after the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country in March early this year, the federal government suspended all football activities in the country, as such the 2019/20 NPFL was brought to an end abruptly with Lobi Stars at the third positions on the log.
Meanwhile, it will be recalled that the FG had on Thursday lifted the ban on sporting activities, however, indications are rife that the 2020/21 NPFL may resume any moment from now.
