Convocation: Bingham University open to non Christian students, introduces uncommon faculties

The management of Bingham University, Karu Local Government Area in Nasarawa state, has said that it has no admission and employment restrictions as long as whoever can adhered to the rules and  regulations of the institution offers, such persons, without sentiments can be admitted or gain employment in the versed opportunities the institution offers.
This, the Vice Chancellor, professor, Williams Barnabas Qurix said during a  press conference unveiling programmes of the 4th Combined Convocation Ceremony on Thursday in the premises of the university.
Revealing the convocation programmed, the vice chancellor took time to roll out the academic achievements  of the varsity from 2017.
He said he made five (5) functional Facilities, which are Faculty of Humanities, social and management sciences, Faculty of sciences and Technology, Faculty of Basic medical sciences, Faculty of Basic Clinical sciences and Faculty of Clinical sciences.
He, however, revealed that currently the university has  12 Faculties, noting also that in 2017 the university had 16 programmes  but recently it is running 64 including 28 programmes, with 28 in postgraduate school and 48 programmes that were introduced in the last 5 years.
Professor Williams further explained that the school of postgraduate studies, established in 2017 started off with 5 programmes in 2 Faculties, but currently has 28 programmes and in 5 Faculties, including “PH,D  programmed” Some of our postgraduate students will also be convocating.
The Vice Chancellor in his speech said, “The purpose of inviting you here is to intimate you of our plans as a university to hold our fourth Combined Convocation Ceremony on November 5, 2022.The ceremony is for graduates of 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic session and for the award of Honorary Doctorate degree to Engineer, Festus Daudu,who has distinguished himself in his field of endeavour” He said.
Professor Barnabas, also reveals that through partnership and collaboration Bingham University has attained excellence by internalizing it programmes.
” You will agree with me that links and international partnerships promote cross cultural competence and experience exchange in the pursuit of global academic best practices.I am happy to say that during my tenure as the vice chancellor,we enhanced our joint efforts in academic and professional partnerships in the pursuit of excellence for our university” He said.
