Justice Odili (rtd) chairs NHRCJ editorial board… Commission presents mega edition of 2018-1022 NHRCJ

The former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice Mary Odili, CFR, (rtd ) has been inaugurated as the new  chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission Journal (NHRCJ)
While inaugurating the advisory editorial board chaired by Justice Odili, the executive secretary of the commission, Tony Ojukwu (SAN) said  the commission carefully selected these eminent persons to be led by Justice Mary Odili to serve in the editorial board, while the commission also presented the mega edition of 2018-1022 NHRCJ to the public.”Today,  we are using this platform to inaugurated the newly reconstituted board and also present our mega edition of 2018-2022 NHRCJ, which is volume 8 of the journal.The maiden edition of the journal was published in 2011 and since then , there have been six volumes, with the last one publish in 2017.” The journal serve as a useful resource for human rights research and scholarly work aim at educating and informing the society at large about the commission and what’s going on here in this part of the world.”The NHRC has also registered with the African Journal Online (AJOL) which is presently the world’s largest and preeminent platform of African-published per-reviewed scholarly journals In response, Justice Odili (rtd) said when the commission came knocking her door she she did not hesitate to accept the offer as she felt honoured.She said the journal is an important publication by the commission where various persons are able to come up with scholarly articles to express themselves in different areas of human rights.”I am sure I speak for other members of the board when I say that the NHRC has over the years proved to be an outstanding institution in the promotion and protection of human rights in Nigeria so partnering with them is a great privilege,” she said.
