Maikaya Development Foundation (MDF) Football Tournament has kicked off in Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, as invited teams for the annual event were on high spirit to bring honour to their various towns and communities.
The tournament being an annual event is sponsored by Musa Maikaya a former Gubernatorial aspirant, in Nasarawa state.
Aimed at hunting for talents as well as curb restiveness among the youths .Hon Mohammed Umar (Ozimama), a councilor representing Ugya electoral ward in Toto LGC in solidarity with Maikaya decided to key into the project in his own capacity through provision of some essential sport items and support to his people which he said was to pave way for them to emerged victorious in the competition.
Hon, Umar urged the players to display high sense of humility, decorum, peace, unity and development.
He said ” You’re all chosen as ambassadors of Ugya community and must proved that to the rest of the world.” He advised.
Aside his usual magnanimity via moral and financial support for his constituents, Ozimama have also secured brand New Jersey’s for two clubs from Ugya and Kolo in his bid to cheer them to victory.
While praising Maikaya for his doggedness, philanthropic gesture, Hon. Ozimama urged other leaders to come to the aid of the teeming youths who constitute the larger part of the society.
He therefore tasked team Kolo and Ugya to go for victory and make them proud.
