The Jos based NPFL side continued from their poor performance which saw their ouster from the CAF Champions league preliminary stage haven loss 0-1 to visiting Simba SC of Tanzania in Jos and played out a draw in the second leg at Dar es Salaam
Jide Fatokun and Michael Ohanu goals gave the Ilorin based NPFL side a comfortable win over their hosts, while they maintained first position at the top of the table.
In other matches played across the country; Bala Nikyu men came from a goal behind to beat Wikki Tourists who took the lead in the early minutes of the game
Chinedu Udeagha open scoring for the visitors but Reuben Nicodemus’ equalized in less than four minutes before he grabbed his brace shortly after interval to send the fans into wild jubilations.

Ifeanyi Ubah also got the better side of Lobi Stars, defeating them by 1-0. While MFM FC got their season off to a great start with a 2-1 victory over Warri Wolves.
It would be recalled that the 2019/20 season was brought to an abrupt end due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country towards the end of March.
