The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State command has confirmed the death of three persons in a road crash which occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
Spokeperson of the Corps in Ogun, Florence Okpe said there was a road accident along Lagos-Ibadan highway, and claimed the lives of three persons passengers..
According to her, six persons sustained various digress of injuries in the incident.
Meanwhile, she revealed that a total of 18 male adults were involved in the said accident, saying, “three persons were recorded dead from the crash, six are seriously injured and the remaining nine people were unhurt.”
According to the eye witness account, a speeding Toyota Haice bus registered as, AYB 88 XP, was reported to have ran into an unmarked truck from the rear.
The account says, the bus driver made an attempt to overtake the truck, but he was not successful; “rather, he lost control and hit the truck at the rear and the truck did not stop.”
However, FRSC spokesperson disclosed further that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital, adding that the corpses were deposited at Idera Hospital morgue, Sagamu.
The accident occurred at about 5:50am on Sunday, one kilometre away from the Kara turning.
