The management of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has said that there is no course for alarm over their earlier three matches ultimatum handed down to the technical crew led by Coach Imama Amapakabo to win their next three matches or face sack.
The club Sporting Director, Patrick Ngworgu in a telephone chat with Core Reporters said, it was a clarion call meant to charge up the technical crew to wake up to their responsibility, adding that the management was not really after any one’s job.
He stated that it was obvious that the team was losing focus, particularly losing 1-3 at home to Jigawa Golden Star.
According to him, “It was a clarion call to enable everybody to sit up. There is no course for alarm.
“We are on our way to Makurdi to face Lobi Stars in NPFL week seven fixtures, the boys are in high spirits and that was exactly what we wanted,” Ngworgu said.
It could be recalled that the Management of Abia Warrior two weeks ago gave the Technical Crew the mandate to win their next three games or be ready to face the music.
Meanwhile, Abia Warriors have played a draw in their last two games after the ultimatum and are currently with 2 points after six games and are second from the bottom.
