Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens have both emerged the champions of the male and female categories of the Aiteo Cup competition respectively.
Bayelsa Utd, a Nigeria second-tier side defeated a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Nasarawa Utd 4-3 on penalty to emerge the champions after the game ended 2-2 on regulation time.
In the female category, Bayelsa Queens defeated FC Robo 4-2 to emerged champions also.
The NNL side, en-route to the final defeated three other NPFL teams; Rangers International of Enugu, Lobi Stars of Makurdi and Rivers United of Port Harcourt before sealing the victory against Nasarawa United on Sunday in Benin City.
Meanwhile, Bayelsa Utd will pocket home a whooping sum of N25 million, while Bayelsa Queens will also go home with N10m and the trophy.
